Homeschool Class |
Our Homeschool fencing classes are starting up again this month, with the first day of class on Friday the 7th at 1:00 PM. This is a PE-style class for ages 8-17 and any fencing skill level, including beginners. We have some youths registered but could use more, so spread the word!

Intro to Epee |
In September we are going to start offering an Intro to Epee class to our club members for $10 per person. The class will be on most Fridays at 7 PM and will be a one hour, "give it a try" type class where we go over the differences from foil and basic strategies. A solid grasp of fencing fundamentals will be required, therefore this class is only available to those that have completed beginner training.

Help Needed |
We need more members of the club to pitch in and help out during practices! Please keep in mind that this is a club, not a business; there are no paid employees, the officers and instructors are unpaid volunteers who are already stretched thin, and every member of this club has a responsibility to help maintain the excellence of the club! If you have any questions or want to volunteer then let us know. There are three areas where we need help: Cleaning: remember, there is no cleaning staff, therefore it is up to members to keep our club clean! A list of cleaning tasks needed will be posted at the club, so please try to check off one item while at practice. Referees: we currently do not have enough referees during open fencing, especially for foil, and this is hampering our ability to maintain order and provide coaching to members taking Intermediate classes! Special USA Fencing memberships will be required along with background checks and SafeSport training in order to work as a referee, but discounts will be given for monthly club dues! Instructors: we need more people that can help teach beginners to ease the strain on our current instructors and free up the coaches for higher level training. Instructors are not required to pay club dues! However, special USA Fencing memberships will be required along with background checks and SafeSport training.

Social Night |
TFC will be having a 30 minute management meeting followed by a social night on Friday, September 28th, at 6:30 PM. All active members are welcome to attend the management meeting. All current and former members of TFC and their family members are welcome for the social night, and are encouraged to bring a friend. For the social night we are going to have another board game night, along with ping pong, badminton, darts, and foam warfare for those looking for more energetic games (BRING YOUR MASKS! We need eye protection for the Nerf wars!). As usual we will be ordering pizza for those that are hungry. Sodas will be provided, pizza will be $2.00 per slice, and it might be a good idea to bring a chair and a folding table. Bring a friend or two and have some fun!

Club Tournament |
We are planning to hold a club tournament in October. This will be an unsanctioned tournament good for beginners looking to get started with competitions. Full gear will not be necessary, but we do ask that competitors have as much of the usual gear as possible, as we only have so much club gear to go around, particularly weapons and body cords. Right now we are targeting the weekend of October 13-14, with further details still to be determined. Stay tuned for more information!

Club Orders |
Order forms are available at our facility for bulk orders of fencing equipment from Absolute, TFC branded clothing and souvenirs, TFC colored fencing socks, and TFC warm-ups. Members that add their item(s) to the order form will not have to pay any shipping or taxes! If you are interested then be sure to find the order forms within the metal drawers on top of the lost and found desk near the large fan at the front door. Orders will be placed once the list is at a sufficient size.
